Let Me be Your Instrument

My Lord, my Beloved, and my God 

Please let me be Your instrument

In my limited life on earth 

Let me carry Your message of the gospel

My Lord, my Beloved, and my God

Please grant me the understanding of Your word 

So that I can proclaim Your heart to others 

For I am willing to carry Your great mission

My Lord, my Beloved, and my God 

If You ask me: 'What is the greatest joy in my life?' 

I would say: 'It is to enjoy an intimate relationship with You' 

If You ask me: 'What I would like to do with the remaining years of my life?' 

I would say: 'It is to bring a smile to Your face through evangelism, worship, and praise'

Riches untold I may not have 

My knowledge and abilities are limited 

But what I have is what I can offer

A willing heart and a determined mind

 

To love You with all my heart, mind, soul, and spirit

To serve You in the best way that I know

To care for Your people as much as I can

To live a transformative life for Your glory

 

These are the ways of loving You that I know how

Perhaps You can teach me more the various ways to reach to Your heart

Not only with words but also with actions

So that, in the rest of my days on earth... 

Others can see Christ who lives in me

 

It is no longer I,

But it is Christ who reigns in my heart 

It is no longer I,

But it is Christ who directs my life

 

Let me be Your instrument

To do Your work diligently

To serve You with humility, and 

To love You continuously....
